Our Client, a leading finishing shop in the greater Baltimore area, is looking to add a Mil-Spec Painter to their team. The position requirements are listed below:

Powder Coater / Mil Spec Painter Must have prior experience in mil spec painting and / or powder coating and / or prep work for power coating. Will work first shift. Some overtime may be required.   • Skilled Technical Masking toDrawing Specifications
  • Batch Powder Coating
  • Chromate: Familiarity with 1 or more of the following:

 

  • MIL-DTL-5541 Type 1 (Class 1A, 3)
  • MIL-DTL-5541 Type II -Trivalent (Class 1A, 3)
  • AMS 2473 (Class 1A)
  • AMS 2474 (Class 3)
  • ASTM B449 (Class 1, 2, 3)
  • 3267777 (Class 1A, 3)
  • Alkaline Etch Cleaning for Brazing
  • Anodize per MIL-A-8625F:
  • Type 1 Class 1/Clear, Class 2/Black
  • Type II (Class 1/Clear, Class 2/Black,Class 2/Gold)
  • Type III/Hardcoat (Class 1/Clear,Class 2/Black)
  • Passivate (with water immersion test):
  • ASTM A967 (Nitric 1, Nitric 2)
  • A380 (F, G, H, I, J)
  • AMS 2700C (Type 1, 2, 3, 6)
  • Sand Blasting
  • Certified Oven Batch Baking
  • Application of Special Coatings:
  • Hydromer 2234-63 (M53535VF)
  • Heresite P413 (M53806JB)
  • Sermetel 249 (M32206FW)
  • Walkway Coating (M53533TK) (MIL-W-5044)
