CNC Technician

We have two second-shift openings for CNC Technicians. The CNC Technician is responsible for programming, setting up, operating, and maintaining various machine tools to produce conforming components per customers’ requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

· Operates approved machines for production as indicated on the router and instructed by the supervisor.

· Create operational check sheets and set up sheets.

· Use operational check sheets in documenting the in-process inspected dimensions.

· Change required tools when in need of repair when operating a machine for production.

· Manage machine fluid levels and proper scrap/waste container usage.

· Teardown of previous set-ups and return of all fixtures and tools to their proper locations as instructed by supervisor.

· Manufacture fixtures needed for operation.

· Install tools, fixtures, settings, and programs into the machine for operations indicated on the router or instructed by the supervisor.

· Run the installed program for the first time, making necessary adjustments to achieve an acceptable operational product.

· Save proven programs into temporary storage and notify the proper administrator.

· Uses lifting equipment to move projects and equipment in and out of the work area.

· Upon approval, use computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) software for various tasks, including creating geometry and programs for fixtures required for operation, creating geometry and programs from supplied prints, and creating programs from supplied geometry.

· Participates in the execution of the current Quality Management System.

· Follows guidelines in the “User’s Manual for Digital Manufacturing File Maintenance” (DMFM).

· Performing other duties as requested, directed, or assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

· High School Diploma (Required).

· Continuing Studies and Certificate Programs (Desired but not required).

· College Degree (Bonus).

· Previous Job Experience (Desired but not required).

· Valid Maryland driver’s license (Required).

· + 10%dif. To start, negotiable depending on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour
