Our founder and president, Trevor Simm, shares some anecdotes and advice from the recruiting trenches in this Baltimore Business Journal piece.
“As a growing staffing firm we spend plenty of time helping folks prep for their interviews. Unfortunately, there are candidates who simply refuse to heed our advice. A couple that come to mind are the gentleman who showed up to an interview in a teal blazer after being told specifically that the client had a very conservative dress code and virtually everyone there wore a simple suit for day to day operations. The second was a lady who literally called each person on her interview panel the wrong name, and then wrapped up her meeting by telling them that she really hoped she was chosen to join their company. Unfortunately, she didn’t get the company name right, either. Needless to say, neither of them were hired.”
