Quality Control Inspector

As a Quality Control Inspector, your role is pivotal in ensuring our products meet or exceed customer requirements. You will play a crucial part in maintaining customer satisfaction by adhering to strict quality guidelines set by our client’s Quality Management System and utilizing a range of measuring instruments, both manual and computer-aided.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Participates in the execution of the current Quality Management System.

· Participates in the execution of all QC-adopted processes and procedures.

· Interrogate supplied model using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for open setup and CMM inspections.

· Interrogate customer documents (drawings, specifications, parts list, etc.) for open setup and CMM inspections.

· Performs first-piece inspections and reports results on approved forms.

· Performs in-process inspections and reports results on approved forms.

· Performs final inspections and reports results on approved forms.

· Uses an established recordkeeping system for adequately storing common QC data generated.

· Follows the “Digital Manufacturing File Maintenance” manual (DMFM) guidelines.

· Programs, sets up, and operates various Coordinate Measuring Machines.

· Performs open setup inspections using manual measuring tools.

· Compiling and maintaining inspection reports and records.

· Reporting to management on quality issues, trends, and losses.

· Performing other duties as requested, directed, or assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

· High School Diploma (Required).

· Continuing Studies and Certificate Programs (Desired but not required).

· College Degree (Bonus).

· Previous Job Experience (Desired but not required).

· Valid Maryland driver’s license. (Required)

· Must be detail-oriented.

  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Must be organized and able to prioritize and multi-task.

This is a first-shift position, and the rate of pay is negotiable based on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 – $23.00 per hour
